Paul Gamble
Paul is Chief Executive Officer at 55ip. Previously, he was Executive Vice President at Financial Engines, America’s largest independent investment advisor. Paul helped lead Financial Engines from a financial technology start-up to a publicly traded company. He led the institutional business with oversight of distribution strategy, sales, institutional marketing, strategic partnerships, implementation and relationship management. Paul has over 25 years of experience in advisory services, financial technology, investment management and retirement. Paul holds a BA from The College of Wooster and graduated from the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Sachin Shah
Sachin is the Chief Operating Officer at 55ip responsible for firm operations and distribution. Over his 21-year career, he has helped build multiple ventures at the intersection of investment management and financial technology. Prior to 55ip, Sachin was the Chief Operating Officer at Ada Investments, acquired by 55ip as foundational infrastructure. Prior to joining Ada, Sachin developed and managed the Emerging Manager Fund Allocation platform at RBC Capital Markets. In his first startup, Sachin co-founded Nextgen Trading, LLC – an institutional-facing fintech company that was sold as Carlin Financial Group to RBC. During this period at Carlin, Sachin led the Prime Brokerage distribution team focused on Alternative Investment Managers. In his earlier years, Sachin held positions at US Trust, RBC and Bank of America where he developed equity and M&A research. In addition, Sachin volunteers his time working with entrepreneurs and business leaders as a mentor and advisor. He holds a BBA in Finance from The George Washington University.

Swati is Chief Product Officer at 55ip where she leads product strategy & management, research, trading and operations. She has over 20 years of product management and consulting experience in several Financial Technology verticals including Investment Management, Wealth Management, Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs). Swati was responsible for product and development of wealth management platform at Charles River Development wherein she built and launched Managed Accounts solutions used by some of world’s largest wealth managers. Prior to that, she has helped Fidelity Investments in creating a best of breed technology platform for private wealth management business. Swati headed the consulting services and pre-sales organization at investment management and tax optimization technology provider Upstream Technologies that was acquired by Fiserv. She started her career in management consulting at Accenture’s Capital Markets practice. Swati holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from MNIT, Jaipur and MBA in Finance from University of Delhi.

Gautam is the Chief Technology Officer at 55ip where he leads the firm’s software development, technology architecture and the operations of its Mumbai office. He has over 15 years of experience in Quantitative Finance, Software Engineering and Project Management across several financial services’ verticals such as Investment Management & Advisory and General Insurance. Prior to 55ip, Gautam was a Principal at Ada Investments where he headed up the development of the firm’s investment platform that enabled designing portfolio solutions using financial research and quantitative methods. He has spent multiple years in the UK as a technology specialist to the Lloyds Insurance market. Gautam has completed his MBA from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and has received his B.E from the University of Mumbai, India. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst [CFA®] charterholder.

Leonid is the Chief Investment Scientist at 55ip and the Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Professor of Management and Professor of Finance at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Leonid’s research, which covers theoretical and empirical topics in capital markets, has appeared in leading academic journals. Over his career he has won numerous awards, including, the 2013 Crowell Memorial Prize for his work on technological innovation and growth; the 2013 Whitebox Advisors Award for his work on the price impact of mutual fund trading and timing of SEOs; and most recently, the 2014 Amundi Smith Breeden Prize for his work on the effect of technology shocks on stock prices. Leonid holds a Master’s degree in mechanics and applied mathematics from the Moscow State University, a Ph.D. in mechanics from Cornell University, and a Ph.D. degree in finance from MIT.

Dennis is the Managing Director of Portfolio Management at 55ip. Over the last 25 years, he has garnered extensive portfolio management and leadership experience at several firms, including serving as the Head of Portfolio Management for a large, Boston-based asset management firm, serving on the management committee of two previous firms, managing hedge fund portfolios for both fundamental and systematic strategies, and launching multiple investment businesses, including as a founding partner of Oceanwood Capital Management, a $2 billion hedge fund spin-off from Tudor Investment Corp. Dennis holds an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT, and graduated summa cum laude with Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Miami University.

Michael is Managing Director, Head of Advisor Success at 55ip where he leads the advisor facing team in delivering innovation, partnership and exceptional service to our firm’s clients and prospects. He has over 20 years of industry experience in delivering service, investment, and technology solutions to clients across the institutional and retail landscape. Relying on a strong investment background across asset classes and portfolio construction, he brings a unique understanding and perspective in providing thoughtful portfolio and practice management perspectives to our clients. Prior to joining 55ip, Michael spent over 15 years at BlackRock in a variety of roles ranging from product strategy, client portfolio management, and portfolio consulting. Most recently, Michael led the firm’s efforts in providing portfolio construction guidance and consultation to financial advisors as head of BlackRock’s Portfolio Solutions wirehouse channel. Previously, he served as the primary Investment Strategist for BlackRock’s Energy and Natural Resources business for 10 years. Michael holds a BA from the University of Virginia, majoring in Economics and English. He is also a member of the Boston chapter of the CFA society.

Aaron is Managing Director, Head of Marketing at 55ip. Throughout his 20-year career, Aaron has pursued his passion of democratizing access to exceptional financial advice and solutions. Previously, Aaron was Chief Marketing Officer at Custodia Financial, an InsurTech firm, where he led a multi-pronged strategy to raise awareness of the 401(k) loan default problem, as well as the repositioning and relaunch of Custodia’s solution. Before Custodia, Aaron led Workplace Marketing at Edelman Financial Engines, America’s largest RIA, where his team defined new institutional market positioning, based on the firm’s key differentiators, to defend its market leadership. Earlier in his career, Aaron led marketing strategy for TIAA’s “mega” retirement plan segment and was a communication strategy consultant at Mercer. In his spare time, Aaron has taught financial literacy to middle and high school students in Brockton, MA, and New York City. Aaron earned an MBA from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree in both Economics and English from Boston College, and is an alumnus of the Founder Institute, a start-up incubator.

Silvio DeVincentis
Silvio is Managing Director, Head of Quantitative Research and Development at 55ip. He has over 30 years of experience, with the last 17 spent extensively developing investment research and portfolio management technologies. Silvio was lead engineer at Fiserv and LifeYield, developing portfolio rebalancing, tax optimization, cash harvesting, and simulation engines. At Fidelity, he directed quant development teams that built financial planning engines, risk platforms, trading optimizers, and advanced analytical tools for Strategic Advisors and Global Asset Allocation research teams. Most recently, he was Director of Equity Data Science at PanAgora Asset Management, where he rapidly integrated new research into PanAgora’s systematic strategies. Silvio holds a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University and a master’s degree in Quantitative Finance from Bentley University.
